Water, water
There are no less than nine thermal spas in the immediate vicinity, with more to be found a little further afield. Some cater for families while others provide rest and relaxation for the more peace-seeking among us. Here are our favourites, all within an hour's drive or less:

Wine Tasting Tours
Embark on a wine tasting tour through the picturesque family vineyards of Lendavske Gorice and visit the Vinarium, and sample a variety of exquisite local wines, accompanied by stunning views of the countryside, or journey a little further south to the Jeruzalem Hills. Gentle walks through miles of fields and along river valleys, around still lakes where you can rent canoes or SUP boards, or more strenuous yomps up and over hills—this corner of Europe has it all. We also love birds and are now familiar with lots of local areas for some excellent birdwatching, and we'd be delighted to take you out to spot the odd Golden Oriole, Long-eared Owl, Wryneck, or Nightingale - season and time of day dependent, of course.
